Informed Voting - Learn about the 2025 MFISD Bond Package

Dear Marble Falls ISD families and staff,

As we approach the end of the 2024–2025 school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing dedication and commitment to our students and schools. The work we are doing together in Marble Falls ISD is important, and I am proud of the progress we continue to make as a district.

I am writing today to inform you about an important election taking place this spring. On Saturday, May 3, 2025, voters will consider a $172.2 million bond proposal for Marble Falls ISD. This proposal is divided into four propositions, each aimed at addressing the district’s long-range facilities plan, including facility upgrades, program enhancements, and safety improvements. Due to a commitment to fiscal responsibility, and an increasing tax base from new homes, this bond will not result in a tax rate increase. A new state law requires the ballot language to read that the bond will result in a tax increase, but the tax rate will not go up as a result of this bond.

Outlined below are the early voting details and locations. I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to cast your vote and make your voice heard in this important decision.

Over the past several months, we have provided information about the bond proposal through community meetings and other outreach efforts. More detailed information about the bond, including the projects it will fund and how it aligns with the district's goals, can be found on the Marble Falls ISD website at www.loveandinspire.com.

Participation in school bond elections is generally low, with fewer than 10-15% of all registered voters casting a ballot in the election. Regardless of how you vote, your participation in this election is crucial for shaping the future of Marble Falls ISD.
Thank you for being a valued member of the Marble Falls ISD community.

Sincerely,
